Transcription Services

Digitec has developed a network of transcription resources connected and managed with an advanced internet-enabled management system. The entire process is efficient as well as easy. As soon as we receive the dictation from a physician/healthcare provider, the voice file is channeled to one of our skilled transcriptionists via our in-house production system in ‘.wav’ form. Once our medical transcriptionist has accurately and adequately documented and referenced every term / medication / institution / physician’s name using AAMT guidelines, random samples are taken to ensure quality of each and every report generated by us. We continuously monitor all our work, and also track every single medical transcription job from the instant a voice file is received by us till we return the completed work accurately and on time to the client.

TAT

By incorporating a sophisticated network system, Digitec provides transcription services round the clock, 365 days a year. In other words, we can provide medical transcription services anytime of the day, week, month or year you want. With such a superb network and proficient trancriptionists at our disposal, we are able to meet every hospital’s / clinic’s Turn Around Time (TAT) requirements. Turn Around Time basically refers to the time taken for a report to reach the client from the moment it was sent to us as a voice file. TAT can vary for each account / work type based on client needs and specifications, with variations according to an agreed plan for stat jobs.

Our clients use various methods to dictate files — from using a phone on an 800 number or directly through their PC microphone to even a digital handheld recorder. All voice-file and data transfer procedures are HIPAA compliant.

Archiving and Recovery

We currently archive all transcribed reports on compact discs. Since our inception, we have made it a point to preserve the entire voice files for a minimum of 1 year, after which they are deleted from our storage systems. This is to ensure that we are able to resend a particular report on receiving a request from the client. With regards to the time parameters, they may be amended as per individual customer requirements.
